Ebru Kefeli is an Istanbul-based calligrapher whose work brings a soft, contemporary flow to traditional letterforms through her distinct style. With a background in architecture, she sees calligraphy not merely as writing, but as a tactile and emotional way of composing with lines.
Her practice spans personalized calligraphy on surfaces such as glass, fabric, and paper — often shaped around live events, bespoke commissions, and experimental formats. Her work explores the interplay of form, balance, and negative space through the lens of modern calligraphy.
Over the course of 15 years, she worked as an architect and design manager on large-scale projects across regions from Africa to the Caribbean. This experience now informs her studio, where she offers high-end calligraphy services for luxury brands as well as creative guidance for those beginning their own journey with writing.
Through collaborations with brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier, and Dior, Ebru brings the written word to life — leaving behind aesthetic and tangible impressions.
